What does the lighting tell us about the character?
when asked for the truth he is surrounded in darkness where the woman is bathed in light representing her purity. he is portrayed as a dominant man due to his protection for his wife- he is standing between her and the darkness behind him. she shuts the door which is bathed in darkness representing that she has shut him out of her life.

What does the location tell us about the character?
he is in an office dressed in a business suit- this whole location implies he is a business man in a dangerous job due to the dark panelling in the room.

How are the charcaters positioned in relation to one another?
he is standing far from the other people when they are asking him questions implying that he doesn't want to talk about it. when he answers his wife he seems more close to her as if wanting to protect her.

Terminator Title Sequence

symbolises humans like vermin and the aliens are killing us off like we with vermin>> human running and taking shelter in a tunnel underground

the size of the skulls are big due to the close up camera shot implying that death is nearer than the aliens to death at this point in 2029 A.D.

the land looks barren, dead and destroyed which conveys that it is already looking like an unbeatable force of power.

the dead tree is close to the camera which shows how we are the cause of the destruction; we created technology so superior to us that we have brought it on ourselves.

the main colours were blue and black which is usually associated with the thriller theme. it conveys a space- out of the world movie showing that it is a sci-fi film.

the shadows wmpghasise darkness and destruction as well as where humans could be hiding. soome of the camera angles make the audience feel as if they are a human hiding out and watching.
