witch, barnabus, family (dad, mum and daughter)

What type of film is it?
comedy/ thriller, stereotypical vampire story connotations (coffins, cross, buried underground, can't see vampire's refelction, etc), unconventional- funny- taking mic out of curses

How are men and women represented? (Roles)
witch presented sexually and overpowering, yet weak because she is desperate for love. Barnabus presented weak and unsure of the world yet a typical man because he got on with his life

What adjectives can you use to describe how it looks?
gothic style, old, dull colours, red connotes fire or blood or danger, black associated with vampires, purple usually gothic

What clues or atmosphere is the film setting?
Los Angeles 2029 A.D. spaceships and lasers connote science fiction genre. music is dramatic and builds suspense. credits are presented as if typed on an old computer that inforces how technology could overcome our world like in this film- sends a message that technology could become so advanced as to take over. dark and dull colours contrast against flashes of light. dark atmosphere. presents death through the skulls and bones scattered and piled all over the ground.

What messages or meaning?
lasers represent fight- some war occuring; a struggle in the world. music creates a dreary, scary feel to the dead land highlighted by the spaceship's lights. smoke represents destruction. relatable dystopian setting; people can think that this is a possible outcome for our future.
