both men are trying to prove a point so there is masculine rivalry so neither are willing to back down

so proud that they beat th train, they are not aware of surroundings. man in black car instigated race so the destruction was his car. he was wiped out by nature to allow younger aggressive man to take over.

crumpled black car represents how the man's ego is broken. man in black car said at the beginning of race, 'go for green' yet he crashed into a green truck- he got what he was going for- what he deserved

orange car is sleeker and newer where the black car is older and has more work done to it- could represent man as a person- lots of experience and practise.

man in black car is wearing a white t-shirt which connotes purity- this could represent that he is hard and mean on the outside but soft on the inside; shows why he is scared towards the end of the road before the train.
