notes
Summer blockbusters are the same thing over and over again- the use of CGI and the lack of a storyline means that everything appears to be very good on the forefront but if you wanted to look at it in further depth there would be nothing there. new ideas are now spurring off from independent films which hollywood is now starting to pick up on but do not stray from their formula so that the audience ratings are decreasing over the years. most summer blockbusters are now high concept movies which means they are being hyped up before hand so as to intrigue the audience and make them want to watch it. however they are usually reboots, sequels and prequels which means it is the same storyline being spread thin to make another excuse for another film. for example there is now an amazing spiderman 2 which is a prequel to the amazing spider man- it is being hyped up now for the release soon but it is the same thing again- nothing new- this film alongside many other blockbusters use 'star' actors and actresses that are well known and already have a fan base for the film and the celebrities meaning there is more of an interest for the audience to watch the films.
